Group Site

This is the original camping spot my family used through the 2000's and 2010's. We have had very large family campouts here with tents and campers everywhere. This is the area still used by my family to this day, but when not in use by my own family, we have decided to offer it to Hipcampers as a group site. We have big plans for it in the long run, but for now it includes the features listed below.
Current Features:
- Large Group Area (room for several tents, and/or small RV's).
- 24 X 24 Covered area with under cover firepit.
- Well water in site.
- Under Cover Outdoor Kitchen (counter and storage shelving, sink, and gas countertop stove)
- Off Grid Power: Solar panel with small battery array (DC Power) to run basic lighting, well pump, charge phones, misc. electronic devises, etc..
- 4 Picnic Tables and 2 Firepits.
Phase 2 Plans (2024):
We are expanding the solar considerably, as well as the power storage. The DC power be should be ample to power the well, and for reasonable DC lighting and device charging. This will also allow us to remove the old solar pole that has been (somewhat) in the way. Later in the year we plan to define the boundaries between the group site and the communal areas, and add a hedge to increase privacy. Phase 3 (2025)
We have bigger plans for the site primarily around the bus, and introducing small sleeper cabins or mini yurts. We also expect to start seeing large groups rent portions of or the entire campground, and for larger events, this will likely be the hub (possibly some day with the pole barn converted into an indoor meeting hall).
Note: There is currently an old bus next to the group area. We have plans to restore it, and ultimately include it with the Group site as a small bunk house, but at present it is off limits, and not part of the site. Please excuse its blemishes while it is in the process of being restored.
Travel trailers, Pop-up campers, Campervans, and Cars allowed
These sites are primarily for primitive tent camping and have no hookups. Small RV's are fine if parked in the designated gravel parking pad area, but these are not leveled for RV's, and may require a little leveling. This should be fine for a small travel trailer, or campervan (<20'), but not for anything much larger than that. Also the road in is a narrow, steep, gravel road, so we would recommend 4WD for anything heavier than a standard car or truck.
Vehicles under 20 feet allowed
Campsites are currently primitive and fully off grid.
