Check-In Guide
Finding Us
|
1 - Your phone's navigation will typically take you to the beginning of our gravel road (right next to the county park 's wooden sign). You will take a right onto this gravel road. |
|
2 - The gravel road will curve to the right, then come to a Y. Go left at the Y. |
|
3 - You will then pass our house on the right. Just down the main road (at the bottom edge of our driveway). |
|
4 - You will then come to a 4 way intersection and a shop. Go Straight at the intersection (the road going downhill with the shop on the right). |
|
5 - Follow that road all the way to the bottom camping area. Note: This is a one lane, gravel road with a couple turnouts. Please be sure to yield to oncoming traffic (rare, but it can happen). |
|
When you arrive at the bottom, you will see a bulletin board with announcements, and handouts with map and information. Please grab one or two for your group, and let us know if we run out and need to be restocked. |
Note: The above pictures were taken early spring, before we open. Once we finish all the clean up work, and get opened up for the season, we will likely take better and more updated pictures. In the meantime, we wanted to get something up to help our early season campers find their way down. |
Settling In
There is nothing you need to do to "check in" officially. Simply stop at the kiosk, grab your pamphlet, and settle on in to your site. The sites are numbered (starting as you first enter the camping area, and proceeding to the end at the clearing with the group site, and the trail down to the main creek access area. Typically one of us will pop in and say hi at some point during your first afternoon/evening. Please let us know if you have any questions, or if there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable.
Communication
If you have any trouble finding the site or have any other issues, please let us know. The best method is to send an email to zenacrescamp@gmail.com. We monitor this email closely during the camping season, and on Thur/Fri afternoons we should see your message within an hour (usually much faster than that). If you registered through Hipcamp, you can also message us through their app's messaging system (we monitor that as well).
Check-In Time
You may arrive any time between 2pm and 10pm. If you will be arriving later than 8pm, please give us a heads up to let us know. Note: There is no issue with arriving after 8pm, but we do like to have a heads-up. and we do ask that you avoid arriving and setting up camp after 10pm, so as not to disturb other guests.
Relax & Enjoy!
Our goal is that you thoroughly enjoy your visit, and come to love the peace and tranquility we experience here. This project is a work in progress, and we are always very interested in feedback, suggestions, and ideas. Long term our goal is to develop some type of membership system for return visitors, and to build a community of campers who travel this path with us. If that is something that may be of interest to you, please let us know and we can keep you updated as this project develops.
